I wanted to check up on the railroad and see if I could get any quest so I tried talking to desdomona but all that happens is my character says hi then she just stares at me without saying anything, I am worried that this will happen to more people and that if I actually get a quest involving her I will not be able to do it or that she won't be able to give me some quests and get locked out of things.

If you didn't activate the evacuation at the Institute, she will shun you.

What about quests though? Am I getting locked out of anything? What about my save? Will this start to happen to other people now? So far this game has been nothing but a glitching mess for me and it has been a pain in the ***, I already got set back a whole week and it took two to figure out how to avoid all the glitches the second time.

I did evacuate teh place though

Don't know what's wrong then, might want to try asking in the tech support forum, might find someone with a similar issue.

If you have not already try doing a save. Then exit the game, then reload. I had a similar thing happen to me with deacon and the trade craft quest

Have you tried giving her flowers? Buy two tickets to the baseball game.

I had that same glitch and solved it the same way.
