Desktop Processor Help

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 3:15 pm

Recently, I got Arkham City and Dead Space 2 for my computer. I was wondering if I could be pointed in the direction of a good and affordable desktop processor so that I can effectively run these games. Thank you.

What motherboard and RAM do you have? What is your current processor? What video card? And what price are you looking for?

My motherboard is manufactured by Intel. My RAM is 2048 MB. My current processor is Intel Pentium Dual CPU (2.00 GHz, 2 CPUs). ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro. Whatever you judge to be relatively affordable. If it doesn't fit my price, I'll just re-post.

What socket is your motherboard? Or what is the actual motherboard model?

You can find the motherboard model by downloading http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html and looking in the mainboard tab.

To save worrying about a motherboard or RAM issue. What you can do is buy a bundle, which is what I'm doing soon.
It's just an idea - it comes all set up for you and you literally screw the motherboard into your tower - plug the other parts in and play.
I don't know if you're from the UK or US. But is the site I'm getting mine from, with a wide selection.

Judging from his parts, I'd say it's fairly safe to assume it is LGA 775 with no 45nm support.
