Sorry i have no idea why my earlier topic was deleted, but i really must let Zenimax/Bethesda or whoever know
that making a Elder Scrolls MMORPG is a VERY BAD move.

Moderators, please at least let me know if you want to delete it off, so i'll know what i've said wrong.

1) Firstly, you WILL be compared to the current king of the hill WoW and history has shown us that MANY have tried, but NONE have succeeded.
(The success of an MMORPG in today's world, is if you are able to DE-THRONE WoW)

2) You have never had any track record of making multiplayer games and suddenly venturing into MMO territory is ill-advised.

3) Unless the Elder Scrolls MMO is so world-shattering-innovative, it will be just another Theme Parked, 3rd person, re-skinned WoW clone.

4) Blizzard THEMSELVES are preparing for this war with their Titan Project. Can you honestly tell yourself that this MMO will be so good that it will be even better then Titan?

5) The Elder Scrolls game core philosophy is the main focus of the player.
This was EMPHASIZED by Todd Howard in one of his interview that a multiplayer Elder Scrolls is not happening. WHY do an MMORPG THEN???
Making an MMORPG like this seriously deviates from this philosophy and instead of a story carefully crafted around the player,
everyone will now be just a NOBODY in a community, whose only concern is why are your DPS/Tanking/Healing so substandard.

6) My biggest fear is that you will ABANDON the single player franchise if this MMORPG is successful.
Proof: WoW singlehandedly destroyed any hopes of a future Warcraft 4 which many longtime RTS fans were longing for.
And if the MMORPG fails, does that mean that many talented people like Todd Howard and his team will be let go?

Zenimax/Bethesda, i beg of you, PLEASE reconsider your decision.
You make the BEST Single Player RPGs on the market, so keep it that way. Don't try to fight a war that is so difficult to win.

Im very sorry that i am so emotional about this whole announcement.
Because i love this series very much, i don't want it to become "Just another MMO that couldn't beat WoW".

PS: Do Zenimax/Bethesda have an email address? I feel very strongly about this and if this topic is locked or deleted,
i want them to at least read what i have to say.

It's too late. They've already invested a ton of money into this, and even if the fan reaction is terrible (so far it is) they'll still put it out to try and recoup some of their costs before liquidating ZOS.
