You should always save before doing something you can't undo. But I think Bethesda should have at least added a destroy option. What if you want a different styled house after building it?

But anyways, the only thing you can do is load back to a previous save. Make sure to save, save, save next time you build a house!

Yeah same boat. I built the house with all wings attached so it's pretty big but now I don't want a storage room but a trophy room. Yeah forgot to save so I got to go back to a save from 3hrs ago.

I don't see how hard it is to add an option to destroy a wing if you don't want it anymore.

Nope, sorry :/

This.

For my game, (I decided to build in the Hjaalmarch) I just saved after creating the "Main House" addition, and then after every wing I completed. That way, If I placed something wrong, or just didn't like the way one wing looked, I could just reload and start over with my materials still intact.

But unfortunately there's no "Demolish" or "Remodel" option.

With a little luck some over flying dragon will be kind enough to destroy your house and hopefully not you in th
e progress?
If that isn't an option maybe you can save, reinstall Hearthfire, reload your last save to see if any bugs may have occurred, install Hearthfire once again, reload your bug free save file and hopefully you can build your house from the ground up.
