Destruction at high levels on adept : V

I normally play my warriors on expert or master, and have tried playing a destruction mage before on expert, but scrapped him somewhere after level 40 when it became tedious how many spells I had to cast to take out an enemy.

Do any of you have experience playing the vanilla game on adept using destruction as your only or main form of offence at high levels (level 40+)?

I played on Adept as a mage,but it is very boring after you reach level 50+
Unless you have 100% fortify destruction,you'll need 1 magicka bar to take out a medium strenght boss,I don't play as a mage anymore tough,

Yeah, I figured. Damn, Skyrim is the only TES game I cannot play a mage in.

In my opinion your not really a mage unless you use atleast 2 skill trees. In your case make the second for Enchantment. Play my Mage on Expert and he does just fine.
