Destruction magic cost

I hear people saying that if you enchant the right way, you can make your destruction spells cost next to nothing. I'm having some pretty bad magicka difficulties on my pure mage, so I'd like to find out how to do this nifty little trick.

That would work if magicka regen enchants were working consistantly in combat, but they aren't. As it is, don't bother, just start levelling conjuration as your primary damage skill.

I'm afraid first reply is just running home to mommy, and forgot to answer your question.

You can find 'reduced magika cost' on 4 different slots: chest, neck, ring, .... gloves?? I forget at the moment. The best way to do it is pick up enchanting. Also store up any Fortify Enchanting potions you find along the way. If you're maxed enchanting and have a Fortify Enchanting potion on, you can manage around a 30% cost reduction per item. Each potion gives you time to comfortably craft 2 items.

So, basically, you can get 2 schools to -90 and one school to -60, if you stacked mana savings enchants exclusively. Without the fortify enchanting potions, you can get 2 schools to -100%.

Without enchanting, the best you can do is shop around at allllll the armor/clothing/trinket vendors, constantly. Probably the best you'll manage is to get one school heavily discounted. Best i've seen at vendor so far is 25% magica cost on an item.
