Hello all, i just have a quick question about detection.

Let's say there's a group of guards on patrol. I sleep one of them with a dart while the other guards aren't looking, and no lightning bars pop up at all. Then, the other guards turn around and continue following their patrol route and find the unconscious guy. They say stuff like "I know you're here" and "Where are you?" and start searching for me, but I've been clearly behind cover/out of los the entire time, and no lightning bars appear at all. Does this count as detection or no?

I heard that once they start saying the phrases and searching, that's one of the ways you know you've been detected, and also if you see the red lightning bolts. Oh, and as a side question, sometimes when I get really close to being detected, I get the 3 lighting bars and they briefly flash red for an instant but don't shatter, and the guy keeps looking for me. Does that count as detection too?

Nope it doesn't count as a detection. The only exception I can think off the top of my head to where the guards detect you even when they don't see you is a specific event in the tutorial level.
