Detroit files bankruptcy

So apparently yesterday the motor city of the US filed bankruptcy. Do you think its a sign of things to come for other large® cities run under the same.. grayish.. tactics as detroit was?

Didn't this happen about a week ago? Or is this a case of me living in the future and forgetting to warn everyone again?

Either way, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought this wasnt particularly surprising considering that Detroit's economy has been steadily sliding down the side of the toilet for years now?

GM motor company got saved from going full r-tard through a bailoutt.. assuming it was just delaying the inevitable. I guess every country is goin down the toilet economy-wise but its kind of maybe a wakeup call to other people to try and get monetary backlashers out of their cities before the same thing happens to them and then pensions and safenets are lost to all those who slaved away at their mind-numbing jobs for 30+ years.. heh

I'm sure Omni Consumer Products will rescue the city. I hear they're up to some really cool things these days.

I predict this thread will not last long. Somebody will throw politics into the mix by the end of the first page, that is my prediction. It is already being heavily politicized in every other conversation I have seen. Hard to avoid really, considering it comes down to failed policies in government that lead to it. Not surprising of course..
