Developer Questions of the week reveal how little ZOS reads

Post » Fri Feb 22, 2013 6:07 am

It seems to me that these "Developer Questions of the Week" pose questions that arise all to often in these boards. This week it's "what race?" another it's "what alliance?" - all of these occur about 20 times a week on these boards. Do you find it concerning that ZOS aren't reading the forums?

In my opinion, it worries me because all of the constructive criticism that arises on these boards is going unnoticed by the developers - which lessens our impact on the dev process.

Your thoughts?

They might be trying to get a feel of the race selection outside of the forums. In regards to most MMO forums, this forum just a small representation comprised of mostly past ES players. There's a lot of people who don't come onto the forums.

Just figured I'd link it up. And yeah, that's got to be the most...shall we say "on the nose" question they've asked yet.

Of course they read these boards, the game is five+ years in development and we are coming to the end not the beginning. You can give constructive criticism but the major features of this game are set in stone. Beta will be about seeing how it all works and fine tuning plus small changes to the game.

Right because those of us here on these forums are the only ones that are following the game... These are more likely aimed at everyone who has an interest in this game. Thats why you see the links to these questions posted on twitter and facebook.

Actually, it doesn't worry me. The less the devs listen to whiners the better. You see what happened to WoW.

True - but they disabled the YouTube comments - and I'm sure this topic has sprung up on other boards more than once.
