Devs Please Let us sell the scrolls if we side with the vamp

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 9:13 pm

Finished dawnguard the other day and now I'm stuck with the 3 scrolls and their combined 60 weight because you can only sell them if you side with the dawnguard which is stupid. If I remember correctly you use one for a quest, but the other two need to go. Actually I'm pretty sure the quest its for is for a guild so they need to patch it so you can get rid of that one as well if you don't want to do the guild quests. Hell, for that metter all quest items should be removeable once the quest is finished.

Pretty sure the Vampires have tons of features....did not get overlooked at all. Anyway, are you on the PC? You can use the console to player.removeitem?

No I'm on 360, otherwise it wouldn't be a problem. The vampires didn't get overlooked I just feel that beth has been giving more to the good paths through out skyrim is all. Oh, and the sudden end to the DLC was weird too...I didn't even get told that I "owned" the castle till someone asked me if I wanted them to restore the path to the courtyard. but thats neither here nor there, I just want to get these things out of my inventory.

The dragon scroll can still be sold to the librarian at the mage's college. That aside All quest items are weightless, despite their listed weight, put all your gear into a container and make sure the scrolls are actually adding weight to your inventory

you do get told that you are owner of the castle immediately after killing Harkon, it's just so minor that no one realizes it happened. I had a discussion where everyone told me I wasn't lord of the Volkihar and that Serana was, then I brought up a youtube vid and told them to look starting at x time, and there it was the guy states they recognize you as lord of the castle and will do you bidding etc.

Yeah, that was lame. I would have liked a better ending, and some cool features explained that the castle has that I get as a result of getting the castle, like how you get acess to certain things at the end of the theives guild (the chest) and the mages guild (the archmages room and alchemy ingredients area, ect). Instead your only told in passing and it feels like there is no real ending. You just kill the guy and thats it...it feels as though they were rushed and didn't have time to put a proper ending.

I tired doing that and unless your mistaking him with someone else (or you have to get to a certain point in the mages quest or do a quest for him) there is no option in dialouge to sell it to him, nor does it come up in the bartering menu when I try selling my stuff to him.

The option to sell it only comes up after the Alduin's Bane quest in the MQ.

Yeah, but can you sell them all or just the Dragon Scroll?

Just the "Dragon" Scroll.
I'm not sure if everyone has this, but the 3 Elder Scrolls are actually weighing me down by 60. I read something where the quest items don't weigh you down, but these 3 do. Quite annoying really, concidering I've put no points into 'Stamina'.
I play on the 360 version too, so I can't get rid of them.
We'll all just have to wait for a Patch. There'll probably be a major DLC and Vanilla Patch soon anyways.
