Maybe I was lucky to never have played a Diablo game before.

Because I haven't played Diablo or Diablo II I am able to enjoy Diablo III without feeling stabbed in the back, betrayed and sold down the river because this wasn't the sequel to Diablo II I thought it should be.

I thought this updated, full bells and whistles version of "Gauntlet" would be a pleasant distraction. A little something to distract me when I fancied something a little different.

Instead what I got is an absolutely brilliant console conversion.

The game looks beautiful. Plays beautifully and is wonderfully addictive to play.

If you've got an XBox 360 or a PS 3 you really should check this title out.

Even some PC gamers are finding themselves pleasantly surprised.

I was looking at that game earlier, but I figured there's not much point since I don't have Xbox Live or a few people to play it with. I'm guessing it's just not as much fun playing solo.

And I've never played Diablo or Diablo 2, so I'll admit I've got very little to base this guess on.

I'm a huge fan of Diablo and Diablo II, and have sunk 1000s of hours into them.
My PC isn't built for current gen gaming, so I am glad that D3 is on console now.

I'm hearing many positive things about the console version. The controls and UI are apparently very nice. I really love that there's no Auction House on the console! (It shouldn't be in a Diablo game... Diablo is ALL about the sweet grind)

I'll think I'll wait until after the expansion comes out, and maybe a price drop, but I look forward to it.
