Dialogue Triggered by Healing HandsHeal Other

Post » Sun Jul 08, 2012 3:14 pm

I was healing J'Zargo the other day and to my great joy I heard him respond, "Ah, J'Zargo feels like he just woke from a nap."

It was just really unexpected and exciting for some reason. As much as people complain about a lack of immersion in Skyrim, it was nice to get such a feedback from my loyal friend.

When you heal Lydia, she says "A healing spell? Are you a priest or something?" Or something to that effect.

I used Cosnach almost exclusively with my Altmer mage - he's got some of the best lines in the game.

Healing hands/Heal other, "Heyyy! My hangover is gone."
Rally, "Why I can take anybody...and that ain't just the mead talkin'."
Fighting a lone dragon, "Aim for the one in the middle!"

A certain female orc follower, Borgakh iirc, actually berates you for using a healing spell on her.

I do too, like these dialogs that the characters are given. Though..I rarely see the need to "extend" the life of a human companion if they cannot help themselves then I see no use for them. Anyway back to the original topic, it did surprise me aswell the first time I heard their response to the healing.

My favorite is Argis The Bulwark. He says, "Heyyy! That feels good!" and you know it does. :D

So you're excited of Khajiits who feel like they just woke from a nap? Interesting.

I love those lines. It just feels so satisfying healing random people, especially because they voice their appreciation.

Janessa says, "Don't expect a thank you", which hurt my feeling at first but now I realize she just hides behind that rough demeanor and she really does appreciate me. :ermm:

I've only ever used those spells on followers, so I know they have extra dialog. Do regular NPCs comment on it as well? If so...gonna go see mah wife Ysolda and hear moar of that sixy voice.

Yeah I did that with my healer, some months ago, I made it a point to heal anyone who would let me heal them and I went on a "pilgrimage" of sorts going through the Imperial and stormcloak Camps across skyrim and healing/blessing the wounded in the name of Talos and Mara

Beat her. She won't run away until she's very low on health. Beat her..just a bit. Then heal her.

Yeah, my Argonian Mage uses Grand Healing to heal his followers and any friendly NPCs fighting nearby. Really useful for keeping NPCs alive during Vampire Attacks. Usually use either Lydia or Vilkas, plus Garmr. Bit overkill though on the Xbox 360, can't wait until Dawnguard releases for the PC, so i can port my save back to it and test my new Vampire Lord Form as well as Garmr (Set him to Essential, of course) against the Dragons from Deadly Dragons mod.

You can heal her right away. It won't matter to her. Beat her. Make her stronger.

That's cold dawg.

First time I ever used one was one Stenvar or whoever, the hireling from the Inn in Windhelm. I hired him to escort me to the College of Winterhold and we had some fun adventures together though I always questioned his motives being a Windhelm Nord hired to escort a Dunmer mage.

I gave him a heal and he was like, yeah that's the stuff or something. I thought it was cool. He ended up being a bro too. I miss hanging with him. I let him off once we got to the college.

Well considering my choices for Altmer bride(s) I had to settle with Ysloda.

Sometimes they will say that if they're taking damage from enemies but have gotten your friendly fire earlier in the fight.
