Diary of a homebuilding Dovahkiin

Day One

Today, I went to Falkreath and ended up killing some bandits to aquire some land to build myself a home. Nothing to terribly hard, didn't even break a sweat killing them. I went to start building my new home, and by talos is the view amazing. Its going to be a wonderful place to raise a family. I built myself a small cottage to sleep in tonight until I can build the main hall tomorrow.

Day Two

I didn't sleep well. Last night I heard a noise outside and went to investigate. Low and behold a damn elder dragon came and attacked me in my own front yard. Not wanting to have the corpse right in front of my house, I lured it into the forest before slaying the beast. Then I returned to my cottage to find a pack of angry wolves attacking me. They were an easy kill, but I had to drag their boddies to the cliff and dropped them over the edge. Exhausted, I went back to bed and woke up in the morning to build a main hall. With that work done, I made a quick trip to Riverwood to buy some more materials, and returned home to find a group of bandits outside my home. Furious, I Fus Ro Dahed them off the cliff to the ground below where the wolf corpses were. Tomorrow I plan on building a storage room, an armory, and some more bedrooms.

Day Three

Today has been... odd to say the least. I accomplished my goals of building the wings on my home, but after going outside on the deck I built around the house to view the beauty of the lake, and saw below my manor on the cliffs was an altar and stones that looked kind of odd, but there was a man there so I went to offer my new neighbor some ale. I walked up and the psychopath started yelling and shooting ice shards at me, so naturally I stabbed him and dumped the body in the lake. Returning to my house, I heard the sounds of battle and went to my front lawn to find a giant and a dragon fighting. I killed them and went inside to get some sleep. I think the jarl sold me land that's a cursed, or maybe Sanguine really hates me.

Day Four

Today was pretty uneventful, thankfully. I furnished most of the house, just need a few finishing touches and ill be done. I'm going to spend a week in the wilderness hunting for some nice wall trophies.

Day Fourteen

I'm back from hunting. And I've decided I'm moving back to Solitude. Today was the last straw. I came home last night and spent most of the morning sleeping. I decided I was going to go into town and see if anyone needed an adventurer, only to hear fighting by the road. I snuck over to see a dragon flying overhead attacking a group of bandits fighting a squad of Dawnguard, with mudcrabs nipping at their heels. I added to the insanity by calling Dunrihviir in, who set to an arial battle with the dragon as his minions and I slaughtered the ground combatants. So there it is, this is my last entry in you. I'm living this journal here in Lakeview manor as a relic of my exploits in building this house. Good luck to any future owners, all I can say is Shadowmere and I are returning to a town where the guards handle most of the peacekeeping.

Sad thing, is that's what actually happened since I bought hearthfire, from my dovahkiins perspective. Its just been countless insanity and constant attacks over and over again. Its ridiculous. Id be ok with the random attacks, if they were less frequent. But its literally every time I walk out the door or fast travel. Its ridiculous. And not nearly as fun as Bethesday tries to make you think. So is this just lakeview manor that's like this, or are people having the same problems in the other two areas?

I dont have random attacks every time I go to my house, but when I do, I love it. Keeps my sword arm strong.

Might have better luck living out in the swamps of Morthal. Only a few bandits to date so far.
