I think this is as far as he got before I realized I could move and started attacking him
but it is good, if only I could attack him when he was healing himself.
As an update, this has become a trend for me, I don't know the name, but going through the dungeon with the nord who's family was being desecrated by the necromancer (you find his dead aunt a few rooms in), the Necromancer didn't get three words into his taunt speech before my Kahjiit dragonborn snuck up (using Nocturnal's Shadow Cloak) and cut his head off.

I used the opportunity to transform into a giant bat monster. I just stared malevolently at him as he told me how hard he was going to kick my ass. As it turns out, the only thing that kicked my ass was the acid. Good thing Miraak was there to regen my health, otherwise I might've lost the boss fight.

But nah, seriously, that fight was hilarious. Every time he summoned a dragon, I'd sap its health to regen back to max. Miraak should've remembered that restoration is a perfectly valid school of magic.

This. Although I recently learned that you can go through most or all of the battle on the Dragon's back if you attack the other two instead if landing. You can get in an awesome three way dogfight with Miraak shooting lightning bolts at you the whole time.

I did the same, I found it funny that it let me become undetected while he was talking to me but it did speed up the 1st round

I tried to one-hit-kill him but he froze up at his healing pool. I didn't realize that there was a series of motions and drama that he had to go through... I ended up slowly beating the crap out of him with an ancient nord greatsword after a game reload.
