Did the RobotRust Devils random encounters replace

other random encounters in the game? if so which ones?

Given the frequency of robots/devils spawning after finishing Automatron it certainly seems that way, any thoughts on this?

I'm not saying which, I don't know yet, all I know is robots are spawning very regulary and I'm seeing less of the other random spawns. I'm not complaining either it's just what I'm seeing in my game.

I agree. I'm seeing the Automatron random encounters take over the majority of random encounters I have in the game.

I still need a full set of Heavy Robot Armour though, so I'm currently ok with it.

I noticed this too, on my lets play save i was recording I saw robots killing brotherhood of steel members off and I rand into a random courser and BoS Knight wearing power armor too. Which i found surprising cause that would usually be tied to a quest by PAM lol

Yes it looks like some of the Raider spawns have been augmented with devils spawn.

Also they seem to have been included in the rotation of spots where you see , two deathclaw fighting, or mutants with settler or cow carcass with flies and so on.

Some other spots that haven't been very fruitful in the past may be spawning more of the robots.

The trouble is in my game the spawning at spots can be inconsistent in frequency. Sometimes there is a drought followed by increased activity and drought again.

I started a new game to see how it all plays out. Haven't gotten to the quest yet but I think it'll be interesting to see how much different this dlc makes the game in a normal playthrough.

I'm seeing way, way, way too many of them attacking my settlements.

Sometimes up to three attacks during 48 in-game hours.

Defenses are sky high, the settlements (mostly) pretty happy even after patch 1.4 broke them...and now I can't take two steps without getting pulled away to defend some place or other.

There must be 100 threads on this forum complaining about the unreasonable number of attacks, and now it's gone from bad to worse.

Clearly Bethesda want this in the game even if absolutely nobody else does.

The alternative would be that they have no idea that people dislike it.

Unthinkable....surely?

Agree on the attack settlements problem. My next playthough I will just ignore them.

Actually, scratch what I said about the settlements being happy.

When I loaded that character after a brief run with another build, half of them had dropped 40 points in morale again.

It's absolutely amazing.

i don't think the robots will found in the wasteland prior to starting the quest. On my mess around character i haven't found a single new enemy before going to help ada the first time. Which tells me it's quest triggered which is a bad idea imo

why? It's a level 15 DLC, all you hae to do is go to the 1st meeting to trigger the robots at 15 then you can leave the DLC on pause in your log if you wish

I notice that as well. I also notice Robots seem to attack your settlement too much.

Hopefully a patch will fix it.

because the whole point of the DLC is to add new mobs and robot building. I totally understand the robot building to be tied to ada but the rust devils, robots and the items should always be present regardless if you found ada or not. I mean the quest is already active once you boot the game with the dlc so it already does what you're suggesting
