Did they fix the merchant refresh trick..?

Post » Tue Jan 22, 2013 2:41 pm

For some reason it stopped working for me today with Lucan Valerius. I'm doing it the same way I've always done it. Save, inflict bodily harm, load. Doesn't reset his inventory or his gold.

Waiting 2 days still does, but...the other way was so much faster. :(

I used it on the Windhelm blacksmith just yesterday with no problem. It's actually the first and only time I've used that trick - I REALLY needed more moonstone. He had two. I bought them, saved, punched him, reloaded and he had 6 more.

But then I felt really bad so I don't think I'll be doing that anymore. But it did work!

Or, you know, needing something or wanting to get rid of a [censored] ton of stuff while saving a bit of time.

Killing him doesn't work either. It's always worked with Lucan before. And yeah, I was trying to sell off a crapton of potions. Lack of merchant gold has always been my biggest gripe with Skyrim...with TES in general, in fact.

Morrowind was the worst(about this particular issue, I mean...it's still my favorite game overall). Why make items worth like 30,000+ gold if you can't sell them anywhere? There was one merchant with 5,000, one with 10,000, and everyone else was dirt poor. -_-

So someone has to wahhhhhhh because he or she is unable to use an exploit and may have to travel to another Hold in a video game in order to sell off some random loot.

Whatever.

But at least the Creeper 5.000 and the Talking Mudcrab 10.000 were worth the trip! No way to complain...
