Die Inward!

Post » Mon Feb 04, 2013 5:48 am

Okay. The idea of this thread is talk about famous quotes, or things that the Dunmer of Morrowind said quite a lot, that came back in "Dragonborn".

One quote that I've heard that is directly from Morrowind (Different voice though) was "Die Inward!" This is prolly the main thing the Dunmer said to me when I attacked them back in Morrowind. I caught a Dunmer Reaver in "Dragonborn" saying this same quote to me.

Another famous thing that the Dunmer of "Dragonborn" is doing is basicly... "Outlander!"

Anything else?

Never played Morrowind, but a lot of the Dark Elves address me as Sera for some reason.

I assumed it was a Morrowind thing.

I don't think they are addressing you as Sera.

They call me Sera and Serjo all the time. Except the guards. To them, I'll always be an outlander. But who cares? They're generic redshirts, anyway.

Well... Idk how you'll be able to see the 'text' since they are yelling it in the middle of battle... NOT when you actually talking to them.

But I can see it being "Die N'wah!" Both N'wah and Inward do kinda sound similar.

Well, it is N'wah. And you do get called Sera and Serjo, sometimes. http://www.imperial-library.info/content/translation-dictionary

they call you n'wah a ton in text just as an insult
plus you can just turn on full text in the menues and get boxes when in combat or just peoples spoken greetings will appear on the bottom of the screen
which still said 'die n'wah' when in combat
so yes, you can read it in battle, and i dont recall ever reading them saying inwards in any battle phrases

I dont think this was said in morrowind but apparently some Dunmer say when close to death 'Nerevarine save me!'.

Well of course they wouldn't say this in Morrowind because your character in that game is the Nerevarine. It's a cool shout out that it's in there tho.

Dunmer in Morrowind didn't said that but that is a nice a little quote in Dragonborn. It still show that the Dunmer still likes the Nerevarine. Unlike Vivec, Sotha Sil, and Alex. .

"We're watching you". The Second Councillor says it once when you first arrive but the guards in Morrowind always said it, I loved that one.

They say that? I've heard Nerevar save me, but never Nerevarine.

Oh it's possible, and it makes sense in lore (you become the equivalent of Nerevar) I know that I heard Nerevar but it doesn't mean you didn't hear Nerevarine. They probably say both.
