Difficulties roleplaying a Breton

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 9:19 pm

I really wanted to play different races with different types of builds. I've have a Breton mage currently and I get this mental picture of the nords falling about laughing at being introduced as a hero. Avoiding spoilers, the further along the main quest I get the worse it gets. I had planned on playing a wood elf as well but I think thats going to be just as bad.

This is the only Elder Scrolls game from Arena to Skyrim that I have had this difficulty. The main plots from previous games have suited all types of characters it's a shame this one seems so confining.

I wouldn't laugh at a mage who was dripping magical death from his or her fingertips either.

I'm a Breton. They underestimate me. I like that. The look of surprise glued to their faces when they die is nice.

Honestly, sounds like an inferiority complex...

youll get that with every race but a nord, look at it as over coming another obstacle.

For Bretons it's all about http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/5748/screenshot2ac.jpg to impress the simple Nord. Having Fists of Fury doesn't hurt as well.

I quite like seeing my simple Bosmer thief utterly destroy dragons and be hailed as a hero. It shows all the other races that big, world-saving things come in small, bodybuilder-like packages.

Nice presentation. On both.

This is whats missing, there's no reaction at all from the Nords, being introduced to my breton as a hero. I would have prefered some disbelieving comments until I'd proven capable.

and er how do you make your character huge "a truck" is there some height adjustment setting I've missed.
