difficulty much higher>

Post » Wed Dec 05, 2012 4:11 pm

Is it just me or is the difficulty of the enemies much higher than vanilla skyrim? I normally play on master difficulty / no perks. and have little no trouble with enemies.
well I made a new character who i raised to 15 feeling it'd be the idea level and I am getting my butt handed to me, the new enemies seem much much stronger than anything else some 'basic' ones seem to give me as much trouble when I'm fighting a bandit thug or even bandit chief. I've had characters in the upwards of 50's +

on a side note.
I don't think anyone will be disappointed with this DLC :)

For what I've seen people saying, unlike Dawnguard, you should actually wait until you're higher level to start the quest.

Yes, it is meant as a supplement done after completing your game.

kinda like the expansions in the original Morrowind, those were brutal on low lvl characters.

Glad that I'm not the only one that noticed this. I went in at level 13 and have been getting my [censored] kicked. Thinking about going back to the mainland and finishing up the main story, then going back.

Hear you there. I was level 24 when I went in, adept, and went down to apprentice. Even with Lydia and atronach's the fights took longer but were more satisfying.

I have a nord sneaky archer that is level 43 , adept and can one-shot just about anything except dragons. They are 2 shots. My mage, level 24, adept has very little problems in Skyrim, but on the island I had died 4 times in the first dungeon I went into and so I put her on apprentice and she did much better I just love the new challange of the harder enemies.

it is harder imo. There were alot of times my health dipped pretty low, and i was level 56! Also was just over 500 armor rating with the atronach stone svcking up half the spells. The lurkers in particular could be devastating

Lvl 54 legendary heavy armor, 2 handed Death Knight here...difficulty Master...just found an enemy I couldn't kill no matter what I did, that beast wrecked me in seconds O_o Tried 3 times then I ran for my life...

All in all, difficulty level is higher, have to heal myself a lot more than vanilla...

I'm cool with this, as long as the rewards like the Black book powers offer a sufficient power bump to largely offset this once all the content has been beaten.

I play the game with 0 AR, so I expect to die ALOT.

I hear you, im level 28 playing on Expert but im getting my ass handed to me. I had to lower it to adept just to get through Miraak's temple. I love how it is harder though as it will remain a challenge for me.

Same here, although I didn't die. They did resort to making me summon my dremora lords which I only do rarely.

You really should complete a quest called A night to remember. Sanguine Rose is a really good reward that gives you some much needed back up when you need it.

My low level didn't have a problem BUT a lot of leveliing was done on Solstheim itself, all around Raven Rock, before I dared brave the true wilds. Enemies still seem to scale, but are, yes, overall, more difficult, it seems. Not too bad, but they might give someone with 0 skillz a true challenge, even on easy.

Difficulty higher?
How so?

Does the AI finally not run straight into your face and begs for a new facelift?
