I've had the same 80GB model PS3 for 5 years now (try saying that with an Xbox :D) and it's only recently showing its age. The PS3 has been freezing alot lately and I'm wondering whether this is a fixable issue or to just buy a new one. The thing is, I have a 500GB harddrive and I'm worried how I'm going to fit that in a new PS3. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm... what games are you playing when the PS3 crashes? Rumor says that the second to last firmware update caused freezing to occur more often, especially on games where freezing is common.
