Direct2Drive: Now Pre-loading?

As per the title.

Which is weird, cause I thought they were just selling codes for Steam.

You can probably download it from D2D and activate it through Steam. Same deal.

What's taking steam so long? I wonder if it has to do with their forums being hacked. :swear:

Nope, the Steam Forums and Steam itself use different systems. So not problems there.

So- no D2D encryption then? Because I will mod Skyrim and don't need to D2D to prevent that from happening.

There might have been some kind of agreement between steam and d2d to allow d2d an earlier preload as to throw some sales there way

Bit confused about this. Thought they were only given the keys as it's a Steamworks game, so it wouldn't be available to download anywhere else.

you still have a key, but other digital retailers like D2D can have an install file that you download from their site and install on steam like sort of like you do for retail games.

Well, it was selling on D2D for like $7-8 cheaper -- I figured that was the incentive, hehe
