Disable the high res texture pack and still use CK?

Title says it all, is there any way to disable the high res texture pack and still use the creation kit? I find the high res pack is rather taxing on my system.

The High res texture pack has nothing to do with the CK. Just disable it.

as JOG said, they are unrelated. the easiest way to disable the highres packages is to turn off HighResTexturePack01.esp and HighResTexturePack02.esp in the data files window brought up by the launcher
