Im not bashing the game, i bet its great, when its playable. I simply do not understand how a company can release a game in this condition. Theres is absolutely no way ID or Bethesda could have not seen this. Unless of course the game was compiled and labled and shipped all the while nobody dev side bothered to test the final product, which i HIGHLY doubt. I would have rather waited another week, even a month, to get a polished product. This is bound to hurt sales marginally, and if not this go round, then for future games released, as people will have low expectations.
The only thing we can do now is wait for a fix. At least allow the end user to pick and choose the graphic options they choose to use. PC gamers are almost ALL enthusiasts. Regardless of how old or new our hardware is, we know what our system can handle because we are the Marines of gaming, few and proud, and we take our gaming seriously. Consoles are great and I own a 360 and PS3 respectfully, but I also own one down right beast of a computer because when a game which promises the likes of RAGE is slated to hit the market, I want to experience the cutting edge. Sadly I wont have that chance tonight.
I sincerely hope the developers are working hard at fixing this right now. I spent 60 hard earned dollars on a product that has yet to deliver. If they get it fixed soon then they can save at least one, but surely countless fans, from feeling like they made a bad investment.
