Disappearing items in lockers/houses!

Post » Mon Oct 03, 2011 1:23 pm

So in both FO3 and Oblivion there would be reacurring problems with items disappering from lockers ( :fallout: ) and chests ( :obliviongate: ) after a "said" amount of days... Do yall think the developers will address that problem? I don't know about yall but I'm planning on collecting a lot of stuff and I'd hate for it to disappear...

They only dissapear from respawning containers. Respawning containers will be in the game.

Oh I see, you were putting stuff in other people's containers :D
Btw, you should probably know that npcs will now sometimes steal things from you, so make sure you keep your stuff in your own home

I find it more realistic tbh... if you leave your supplies in some random box in the middle of nowhere, by the time you go back to get them.... someones already got 'em.

You people don't understand what the OP was getting at. He was wondering if respawning containers will be in the game, E.g Lets say you found a tower in the wilderness, you want it as your home, But you can't because there's respawning containers.

its not a problem, its just common sense; if you leave your stuff in someone else's containers theyre going to take it. only certain containers that are considered owned by you or far enough out of reach of everyone else will keep your items permanently.

so just like in real life, unless its in your house or well hidden, if you leave something sitting in one place long enough someone is gonna take it :spotted owl: .
