disappointing things that we prolly shouldn't be disappointe

some of the things in skyrim failed to meet my unrealistic expectations, I'm posting this because I'm sure some of you want to get this off your chest and there needs to be a safe place to do so.
1. the lack of nords in sovngarde (Skjor, pretty much any named nord I killed before entering Valhalla)
2. Skjor died and nobody seems to care... Did he not wanna go to Valhalla/sovngarde or was this just overlooked...
3. there is an orphanage but i cant have a child... (I realize this might be incredibly time consuming to program but this is a thread about UNREALISTIC expectations...
4. the aretino kid should have been brought into the dark brotherhood at the end of the quest line. just because he is incredibly bad-ass
5. the coffins in the halls of the dead are not marked by who was buried in them
certain minor weapons are not able to be tempered (DP dagger, headsman's axe, silver swords, pickax, woodcutters axe)
6. neck snapping was left out of unarmed finishers
7. Unarmed should really be a skill (this is IMO the only realistic problem I have)
8. I get detected by EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHERS
9. cant give my wife a nice dress... (this r make me crie erry time)
10. I feel like there was a lack of daedric artifacts in this game, in oblivion and morrowind they had artifacts that were not connected to the shrine quests. a few of the ones i really miss are gold-brand, umbra, the different daedric god masks from morrowind, and some others...
11. they said they were dumping weapon deterioration to allow for more weapons/armor and tempering. I feel like oblivion had more weapons/armor than skyrim.
12. I don't know if its because there aren't that many daedra but it just seems like I am either fighting bandits(this includes mages/necromancers), wolfs, giants, or guards... what happened to all the wildlife...
13. I miss all the unique staves (falmer shamans should have staves with falmer skulls on em just like the goblins)

If you level sneak, you wont be detected.
And about the Falmer staffs..... ;)

Less linear weapon paths. I hate how it just goes from worst to best gear in one simple line. I want to see alternatives that have some benefits and drawbacks. To some degree it makes sense Steel > Iron. There should be some plain better weapons, but also there needs to be some diversity. I don't mean in enchatments only, but how they function. So perhaps Dwarven weapons are really tough and are good at blocking with, but are a little on the slow side due to their weight. Steel might not be as strong as Dwarven, but would strike faster and not be anywhere near as heavy ect.

I loved Fallout New Vegas for the sheer variety of guns, a lot of them with use. There was very rarely a linear path from worst to best weapon.

Also better magic that isn't so weak. Needs to feel powerful like melee and stealth.

And also, I want better unique weapons than standard ones (for example, something like Dawnbreaker to be better than a glass sword). It makes sense for a powerful Daedric artifact to deal more damage than something crafted by the player.

EITHER STACK THEM OR PUT THEM IN THEIR OWN GROUP IN THE INVENTORY

Level it to WHAT? I'm at 90 with Muffle & Invisibility and I STILL get seen! What am I doing wrong (sincerely!! maybe I'm going at this wrong??) Yes - I can sneak up behind people - one at a time - but why have invisibility & muffle (with silent casting perk) at all if they simply don't work?

You're not an idiot, but it's a Daedric artifact, as Meridia is one of the Daedra - just one of the ones more accepted because her general sphere of influence ("Kill all those muddafuggin undead!") aligns with a lot of the population's general stance.

There is something wrong with with detection. I used a sneak enhancement ring I made using the restoration potion glitch, so it's like 500K+% or maybe even 5mil%. So I have the ring on, get into sneak mode and ready invisibility, then enter Angeline's Aromatics and I'm invisible upon loading the cell. I can sneak around every level of the place without anyone knowing. So then I get up out of sneak and lose invisibility. Once spotted, even that ring and invisibility can't keep that old lady from tailing me through the place.

if you dont go to cities, you will have less chance.. I'm awesome at sneaking around mountains ;)

I always seemed to get detected right away until I purchased the first rank of Stealth, after that the game seemed to have sorted itself out. By the time I get 5/5 Stealth, 80ish Sneak and Muffled Movement, I'm damn near invisible in plain sight and have successfully pulled off assassinations while standing right next to guards and not being detected.

I suspect some major bugs are affecting you folks with the bad stealth luck, if you're on the PC, are you running any "balance" mods?

Frankly it's because of the above that I end up getting bored of my stealth characters, no matter how badass I feel clearing an entire stronghold without being seen, it just becomes too easy.

Only thing I really mind, is not being able to lock the doors. God knows how many times I felt like locking all of my followers into basemant, and feeding them with old bread.

Companion Quest Broken: I am unable to cure my wereself without Dawnguard...(Im on PS3)

Missing the goldbrand and umbra.

They really couldnt add the old armors to this game as well? How about (Cyrodilic Orcish Armor) and so on. Basically adding all oblivion and respective DLC armors to the game to match the new character models and have hi rez textures.

Why cant I join the Vigil of Stendarr and why no quest associated with them? For Akatosh's sake wtf do they have 3 bases in game if they have no respective quests???

There are new variants of Light armor in Skyrim, including hide, fur, and scale armor (actually hide or fur was in Oblivion, forgot which one). They probably wanted to make the armor fit in the environment of Skyrim. But I can understand the demand for Mythril and Chainmail. Mythril was my favorite light armor.

Wow, really good point. It would've really added some more personalty to each player's play style.
