Discover the Treasure of Angarvunde

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 12:52 am

Has anybody been able to complete this quest? I have a save from just before opening the last grate, and when I get near the quest giver, she runs ahead into the newly opened room, to be killed by the floor rising to reveal a staircase down. I continue on, get the word wall, but the quest then says 'Return to Whatserfacedeadgirl'.

Have reloaded three times now, and the same thing happens every time. Any ideas on what to do? What I gain from her staying alive?

Here's a link that lists all the quest stages . . .

If you google the quest there's also a few youtube videos that might help you.

Ok, so it turns out that she will always die, leaving you free to just keep everything for yourself. There is a Lord of the Rings easter egg in there too, for anyone interested.

And the YouTube vids are pretty much worthless...

My reply was only intended to indicate that they won't help anyone else who reads this.

My thanks in any case

If she is the one that says 'Finally! Now it's mine, ALL MINE' then she is supposed to die. I somehow got on top of the circular slab and think I remember spikes up there. No quest point to tell me to talk to her.

Btw, what was the LotT reference? You can tell me or just mention what city is nearby. My map is full of points by now.

It's actually IN Angarvunde. behind the stairway that rises out of the floor, is an open chest. In this chest are:

A severed hand
a broken sword (handle and small part of blade only)

Referencing Sauron. Even the angle of the break in the blade looks very very much the same as on Isildur's blade...

Oh, I found that chest. Was probably too sleep deprived to understand it, but also I'm sure that there was no severed hand. I thought the broken sword hilt was a find-the-other-part-and-reforge-it sort of deal.

There are a few of these in the world that I've run into. I haven't been able to find anything online to suggest that you can do anything with them.
