Disenchanting experience: enchantment strength or item value

Sorry if this is common knowledge or has been answered plenty of times before. I did a search but didn't find anything; the UESP is also not particularly clear on this.

The question is pretty much in the topic title. When you disenchant an item, you get a certain amount of experience added to your Enchanting skill. My question is: is the amount of experience determined by (i) the strength of the enchantment, or (ii) the gold value of the item?

So, for example, if it's just the strength of the enchantment that mattered, you'd get the same amount of experience from disenchanting an Iron Sword with +20 fire damage as you would from disenchanting a Daedric Sword with +20 fire damage. But if it's the gold value of the item that matters, then you'd get more from disenchanting the Daedric Sword.

Of course, it might be both.

I would check myself, but I'm on console and it's not so easy to do this. Thanks!
