Dishonored and Journey

I'm going to introduce myself quickly before I start this topic.

Hi, my username is solidturtleman and I love Dark Messiah, Arx Fatalis, Metroid, and all things Valve.
I am also just starting Deus Ex... and I played Human Revolution first...
(Don't hurt me)

For the past year I've been salivating over Dishonored for many reasons. One of the reasons is the ability to interact with a world and npcs physically: No dialogue text boxes, no poorly plotted scripted levels, just doing what comes natrually based on a wide set of world rules.

I recently played a fantastic PSN game called Journey which gave me some of what I was excited about in Dishonored.

In Journey, you travel through a massive desert and seamlessly run into other people online. The only way to survive is to communicate with each other and pay close attention to the world, but the ways in which you can do this are limited. The two options for communicating are short notes produce by tapping the O button and physical movement. The only way to interact with the world is through physical movement and tapping X and O to energize cloth (which makes up everything that's living in the world. Through these simple, yet natural options I developed the strongest connection I've ever had in a video game.

Upon completion, Journey made me realize how badly I want Dishonored to have allow me to interact with a living world and people. I hope that it will achieve an even higher level of interaction than Journey due to it being a significantly vaster game, with significantly vaster rules.

But the question is... Can Arkane do it? Dark Messiah, Deus Ex, and Arx Fatalis, and what we've seen so far point towards yes, but I'm afraid that the interactions will feel hollow after my recent experience with Skyrim and not being able to kill many NPCs, amongst other things (sigh).

How does everyone feel about this kind of interaction? Do you see similarities in Journey? Will Dishonored pull through in this way?

Welcome! I haven't played Journey, so I can't comment on that, but I am confident that there will be more interaction than Skyrim.
