Dishonored RHCP version isn't working in country where you c

Hello,

I have a problem and it comes with short story.

I'm working man and I need to travel a bit with my work. Basicaly I'm traveling every month for one week to russia. So today when we were having breakfast in restaurant/cofee place or how it should be called. So on the road there we found game shop and we went in to check it out. And guess what they we're selling dishonored. So i bought one for my self and when taking breakfast I connected to Wi-fi and activated my key to steam with my work laptopt. Didn't downloaded because I'm not playing games with work laptop. So i called brother @ home and asked to turn my PC on. Ok, no problem he said, but he wasn't at home at the moment. So after 1 hour maybe he wrote me a message that my PC is online. Ok, i connected to steam website and used remote download. (interesting thing, that i was using at that moment my company VPN which gives me danish IP address, because i needed to be able to get my work files). I had no problems with starting remote download with danish IP.

So now I'm at home in lithuania and problem is that I can't start that damn game. It says "Dishonored RHCP - Pre-load complete; unreleased". When I'm pressing install button i'm getting regional restriction message.

Let's make some research. When i visit dishonored steam page from home I'm having this notice:

"Notice: This version only contains English, Russian, Hungarian, Czech, and Polish languages" (So RHCP stand for Russian, Hungarian, Czech, Polish. yes?)

So basicaly if i will buy directly through steam I will still get RHCP version.

Game ID i can buy on steam is: 17209

Let's change region in steam to russian, polish and ukrainian.

Same notice, same Game ID. If we change region to denmark we are getting game ID 17207 and no notice about language restrictions.

So basicaly I can buy only RHCP version and I have RHCP version in my library but still I can't play it because of regional restriction?

I'm not suprised that we are assigned to russian region as allways. We have about 80% games in supermarkets from russia. Even skyrim is available only in russian retail in lithuania. At least retail box cover is in russian language, but game is in english.

So why Dishonored is something different and I can't play it if we have assigned RHCP version to our country?

TLDR: In lithuania you can buy only RHCP version of dishonored, I have RHCP version in my library and can't play cause of regional restrictions. Difference is only that I obtained this game not directly from steam.

Picture of box and my nickname: up.cmo. lt/IMG_4022.JPG

Can someone from support fix this somehow? Because it's really frustrating.

P.S. Sorry for my "perfect" english.

In the name of science:

store.steampowered. com/app/205100/?cc=ru Russian region page
store.steampowered. com/app/205100/?cc=lt Lithuanian region page
store.steampowered. com/app/205100/?cc=ua Ukrainian region page
store.steampowered. com/app/205100/?cc=pl Polish region page
store.steampowered. com/app/205100/?cc=dk Danish region page

Hover mouse on add to cart button and you will see game ID you can buy in that region.

Hi

Sorry to hear that. The exactly the same problem is in Latvia too. Bought from russian site where was noted, that SNG countries is supported, which with other games always was true. Even Steam noted that Latvia is in SNG list (so as Lithuania and Estonia).
So after activating the key it showed Dishonored RHCP title. Bet cant play it, because it says, that it is not for my region! gameid is 217980 . Event though Steam store offers buy id 17209, I believe, that in the end it would be the same RHCP 217980, because of that notice "Notice: This version only contains English, Russian, Hungarian, Czech, and Polish languages".
So the store suggests activate and play it with russian VPN. But VPN isn't free and also I don't know if it violates the agreement with Steam, even though I bought the game for my region (as it was noted before purchase), so technically I'm allowed to use VPN, as it is fobidden only to circumvent geographical restrictions. I'm confused and I feel that game companies are just steeling money from buyers.
Please, Bethesda, fix this.
