DLC Animations and NPCs

I hate the idea of making a topic just to ask a simple modmaking question, but I've no idea where else to really ask my odd mod questions, and I know this forum houses some of the most talented modders around.

DLCs bring in new things for Dovahkiin to do. Accompanying them are animations of the Dovahkiin doing the thing, usually. An example is woodcutting from the base game. You do it, and see yourself cutting wood. Other NPCs can cut wood too.

Forgive my possible blindness, but I've never seen an NPC turn a grain mill, or pump a butter churn, and such. If they do, discount this entirely. :3

Is it possible to make NPCs utilise animations the player has? If I put an oven into a mod, will or can I make NPCs use it? Etc.

For reference, I've not played with the Hearthfire content, nor am I a big modder, but I've some familiarity with the CS, and am in the planning stages of a whole whack of mods. Just trying to make sure I don't plan outside the realms of not-super-difficult possibility.

Regarding your post, I have seen an npc use a grain mill before, but only once.

Oh right, right. That's good to know. I wonder if it's possible to increase the chance an NPC will use the item, or perhaps even schedule it?

A few more questions, then:

Butter churns - do they even have animations? O_o
Re: ovens - if an animation is possible, but NPCs don't carry it out, is it possible to allow NPCs to do so? Like, is there a marker that can be added to an animation marker thing in the CS that would allow NPCs to use it as well? That would be excellent...
