DLC Dead Money

Post » Sun Jan 16, 2011 12:44 am

Ok I’m getting this new DLC a.s.a.p., I don't care about bugs, clipping, loss of saves. I’m a gamer for my whole life. I had my Atari, Nintendo, Sega, 3D0, Xbox…
Every single time we upgrade we expect more, better faster more lifelike, more this more that. Sometime we are just asking a lot and expect so much, that it’s going to fail.
We begged and cried and we got FNV a 2 year turn around on the same game with upgrades. Yeah the stores weak and I don’t feel for anyone in New Vegas, unlike F3 where it felt like it mattered who I killed.
The game developer only had one other game under their belt it failed badly. They got FNV I don’t feel this game is a Fail I think it’s very good and well done, just not well tested. F3 had some of the same bugs which should have been addressed before and I am in agreement. But not everyone had the same problems, I avoided the Vaults, yes it sux to miss out on aspects of the game. But I wanted it, I asked for it, I got it.
Like delivery pizza Fast, Hot, and the toppings all smashed on one side. If you can’t deal then don’t Tip!
Meaning if you got something that you don’t like but you wanted and cried for it, then svck it up. If you’re a real gamer buy the DLC and enjoy the extra stuff they give us to do, so that the game won’t be so stale.
So as soon as it’s in I’m buying it.

Good luck with it. I am not buying it. I still can't get parts of the main game working right. I too come from the Atari-Age of gaming; since 1976. I do not recall owning a game this buggy in the history of my gaming time as a child nor as an advlt. I used to be a huge Bethesda fan and dealt with the annoying glitches and bugs without too much issue since I knew they were coming but this game goes beyond the annoying. It also svcks that the patch we waited for didn't fix everything known at the time of its release.

Really!
If i order a pizza and it comes all smashed, i tell them to take it back and keep my money.
And in this respect, when i'm happy with my product (FONV) then my tip to Bethesda comes when i buy the DLC.
And hundreds, possibly thousands of people neither wanted and cried for this game, they simply just bought it in good faith and hoped that for the amount of money they spent, that it might actually work. Not everyone on here are Fallout 3 fans who demanded a sequel, they are just paying customers.
Well sorry for expecting a certain amount of professionalism and quality for something we paid for. We must be idiots.
Some of us non-real gamers won't be giving this joke of a company any more of our hard earned money just on the offchance that they deliver on their promises, merely for 6 hours of extra bugginess.

The developer you mention, Obsidian games have made Neverwinter nights 2 and its 2 or 3 add-ons, Alpha Protocol and Star Wars KOTOR2, so how that adds up to 'one other game' i don't know.

And surely if this game was well done and just not well tested, then it would work properly. The fact that it does'nt work properly means it was badly done and badly tested.

I didn't purchase any Fallout 3 DLC until I had finished all quests and did a second playthrough. This first one I bought was the one that raised the level cap. I will do the same with New Vegas. If I can hurdle through the glitches I will consider the DLC, but I am guessing there will be more than one DLC option by that time. By the time I was done, the only DLC I didn't get for FO3 was Mothership Zeta.

Also did TES IV Oblivion. I sure hope TES V is done right. As of right now i will probably wait for a GOTYE because after FNV I am leery of pre-ordering games from this developer. It hurts me to say that because Oblivion is my favorite game of all time...even with the few bugs it still has.

TES IV Oblivion was Bethesda, not Obsidian.

I went to YouTube and watched a guy play the DLC Dead Money; and guess what? The guy's arms still glitches and flies over his head in first person mode! Why anyone would want to buy a DLC on top of a buggy game is beyond me.

Just check out the DLC forum and make your own judgement on wether it is ready for primetime yet. From what I see posted, the issues continue.

Because it's fun and the story is awesome? The "arms over the guy's head" glitch happens to me like once every half hour of playing or so maybe, and effects absolutely nothing.
