DLC Minutemen or brotherhood

Post » Sat Dec 05, 2015 10:29 pm

Just as an idea maybe a quest line that either expans the Minutemen or brotherhood

For Minutemen
'An enemy faction appears to take over the commonwealth like maybe those of the Pitt and you and your fellow Minutemen fights them off and decides to unite the commonwealth into a real government and you could have opportunity to be president'

Or

For the brotherhood
'Would be more like a civil war cause maybe a quest line to revert the brotherhood back to Lyons way and gather followers and you become your own elder win other the citizens of commonwealth by using technology to help them and then fight the old brotherhood themselves in a symbolic war of who's idea is right Lyons or old once and for all

I'd rather DLC not touch any of the prime factions.

-DLC comes out for [faction]

"I didn't support that faction and they my enemies. Guess I'm saving 15-20 dollars."

@he-who-remains
Well it's just my idea and you don't have to agree perhaps I know not everyone is going to agree but I believe the Minutemen could become something greater and what faction you don't like are you referring too?

Well, you see, that's your idea, thus my opinion in regards. Unless a DLC is going to enhance all the Factions in some meaningful way, I have no interest. I believe they shouldn't show favoritism to faction choice considering you have four primary factions to ally yourself with....Naturaly being the Minutemen, the BOS, the Institute, and the Railroad.

They come out with a DLC that enhances the BOS choices...what about us Railroad supporters? Good, the BOS supporters who are not being shot at as enemies of the BOS have new content, but what about us?

I kind of agree that it shouldn't be faction specific but a DLC that potentially expands on all the major factions would be interesting. Especially if there is the potential to bring in some of the older enemies, such as the ones form the pitt that you mentioned. Just the implementation of a group trying to conquer the commonwealth could be and interesting DLC, not unlike broken steel in FO3. Realistically it seems like you could expand on any one of the major factions' story line with the first idea, not just the minutemen.

Institute - Raiders try and take over and you have to secure Institute settlements and the remainder of the commonwealth essentially falls to the new raiders save for major locations. These major locations could be taken over Skyrim style.

Minutemen - You must unite the commonwealth to ensure that all colonies/cities maintain independence, not unlike the revolutionary war.

Railroad - (Raiders could be enslaving synths and/or settlers) Ensure that the standing railroad is not jeopardized by securing settlements and opening them for the railroad and using it to liberate slaves that the new raiders are taking. This could additionally open up the option to become a slaver and help take over the commonwealth

BOS - You must use this opportunity to strike against the various factions to ensure that pre-war technology falls into the right hands. Again Skyrim style city take overs, etc.

I want another Slaver-based DLC, similar to The Pitt. Fallout 4 is lacking a Slaver faction and human slavery in general.

Exactly, as awful of a person as my character was, I thoroughly enjoyed joining the slavers in FO3 and using the mesmatron on people and taking all their stuff. The dialogue options were pretty fun too. Especially with the kidnappings from the settlements. You could lose a settler and then the raiders could sell them back to you or you could opt to try and rescue you them but it could keep things interesting.

It would be fun to be given the option to become a slaver too. Your settlements could be turned into slave camps where you could auction the enslaved settlers off and it would be inhabited predominantly by raiders. Your supply chains could be used to transport slaves and ultimately the railroad or minutemen could become a major rival faction.

@everyone sorry that I didn't mention the other two factions but my point is a dlc that expands a quest line depending what faction you support but to be honest I do not support Raildroad for a reason to you don't have to agree with me but I just don't like the Raildroad

My endgame in FO3 NV was killing everyone. It would be cool to turn bad and join the Raiders and kill off every settlement I made and take over Diamond City.

Because it's the story they want to tell. I probably wouldn't want to enslave anyone, but if they want the choice or freedom to become a slaver, they should be able to. Although I would imagine all factions other than Institute would be against it and may turn hostile. I side with the institute, and depending on how you define synths, it's already slavery, I don't think machines as living beings, so I don't consider it as such, but it's very relative.

I don't quite get people who bring their real world morality inside video game, and assume something is wrong with someone who wants to see that stuff in the game.

id like an alien invasion DLC, like maybe because you have to kill an alien to get the blaster others come to earth from his distress signal.

Id also like a genetic experiments vault dlc that could go into explaining things like the death claw.

I'd rather have a USS Constitution dlc. Take to the high seas and combat Communist aggressors, and Canadians.
