does anyone else feel slightly guilty when they kill a drago

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 6:33 am

or is it just me. i know that i am dragonborn and have to destroy them to protect the people of skyrim (as what the main quest entails).i do feel a sense of sadness after i have vanquished one in combat.they really are beautifully done in the game,i just love watching them soaring in the sky,or circling a mountain top.they are also my favourite mythological creature. damnit i quit being dragonborn

I do...I feel like I have just clubbed a harbor seal to death. I would much rather talk with the dragon than kill it.

Before they start covering my entire screen with fire, yes. After that, not much so. Although
Spoiler
I felt kinda sad when Mirmulnir (first dragon encounter in main quest) died :P probably because he had a name

Yes, the first one was very emotional with all that was going on. I got all worked up and felt bad that the creature had to die but there was so much fire and I was worried the people were going to be killed. I hate that too. I always get the Boots of the Crusader and Animal Friend in the other games. It really was an emotional scene though when it's playing out. The second time was easier..they really are the evil things we have to remove from the world.

I feel good when I kill them. They will no longer terrorize all the people of Skyrim!

Don't forget you're destroying their souls to make yourself stronger. :teehee:

It's not the dragons fault. They just fly around like a boss, then everyone starts shooting arrows at them. :(

I didn't feel particularly bad for killing them, since they are immortal and simply reform with Alduin, but then I realized that you not only kill them, but also eat their souls. Hopefully, when you die, their souls get set free, and go to be with Alduin again, but maybe that's just my idealism.
