Does anyone else think vampire lordwerewolf form svcks!

I hope I'm not starting a repeat thread here.

Does anyone else think the vampire lord form svcks? I mean the switching of a 1st person perspective game into 3rd person form.

I didn't like the werewolf form because of this I would have much preferred both the werewolf and vampire lord concept to have been kept in 1st person. Sure you get 3rd person cut scenes when you get criticals etc, I'm fine with that, it work great as kill moves in TUROK and works well here in Skyrim.

They could have done it differently - like have a cut scene as you transform and then show your arms as either werewolf or vampire, and again cut scenes when you get a critical kill.

Meh, I don't mind it because I know why they did it.

They spent a lot of time making them look as good as they do and they assume people would want to see how good they made the werewolf and vampire lord look which for the most part is true.

Also the constant swirling of bats in the VL form would give you headaches and the werewolf well..sprinting around in first person should be obvious what it would do to you.

Since I never them in first person I can't say would or would not enjoy it but being in 3rd person does not bother me.

Still having the option to be in 1st or 3rd would be nice

Actually I had a glitch that when I sprinted as a werewolf it will go first person (as long as I don't move the camera around and keep it straight) and it was completely awesome!!! I could totally see that in game especially if they added visuals to it like a little blurriness on the sides so it seems your really moving fast (kinda like a tunnel vision)

This. It would be nice to have the option, and where it's a subjective view I can understand people being upset, but it doesn't bother me :)

I don't really care for 3rd person view. I wish it was 1st person. Options are good. We already can play 1st person view, why change it?

Also making us forced to watch it because the spent so much time to make it? It will do no good if I don't use it. Almost makes me wish I choose the Dawnguard side.

I only play in third person so its perfect for me.

You get a far better idea of what's around you in third person.

Doing part of the DG quest, and becasue I am in VL form, I have to be in 3rd view, and it's hard to deal with and aim, in the cave. Too much in the way and you can't see because of the hanging flora. If in 1st person view this would be a non issue. Since I want to use magic, I have to float and the 3rd person is causing so much problem.

Agreed floating in dungeons can be a teadious affair.

I would prefer the option of remaining in first person, as well.

I would like first person as well, and the ability to loot as a VL. I find I don't use VL very much because in a dungeon its tedious going back and forth between forms. They should just make it so you can only loot as a VL when you're on the ground with your guard down.

Personally I don't mind it. I'm a first person gamer myself, and always play like that. But, I view the transformations as a purely battle thing. (So no reason to loot in them). It's like going berserk mode.

When you transform, you step out of yourself and are taken over by the power.

Plus, it would be so much work to make those form work in first person. Werewolf arms are longer, waving them infront of you for swiping attacks would get chaotic. Same with vampire lord. It's not viable. Not with bat form and mist form.

You think it sounds cool, but it wouldn't really work and be more of a headache.

I dont mind how they did vampire lord and werewolf, i personally think they a quite fun for something out of the ordinary to do. Although im not too much of a fan of the VL's casting animation.

Being a VL dosen't make you feral or anything you have complete control. Harkon trains you and talks to you while in VL form. Thats not the actions of someone changing form and going berserk.

Berserk mode as in only for fighting. I wouldn't go around as a vampire lord normally to unlock chests, loot, and talk to people.

I can't play in 1st person view. I could never get used to it. I only use it for archery so playing in 3rd person is no big deal for me and both my toons are assassins. Though targeting spells long distance I've found harder in 3rd person, having the 1st person option would be nice. It's sad to pathetic how easy it is to miss with vampire seduction in 3rd person.

Happens to me all the time. And then you got to wait a whole day just to use it again.

Didn't say anything about talking to people or picking locks just being able to pick up stuff and loot bodies.

In a narrative point of view, one could say that the third person perspective is fitting when transforming into a creature not wholly yourself.

That is a pretty deep explanation of it.

Vampire Lord form is a battle form.

You aren't in your normal gear, with normal hands. I'll like to see your pick up stuff with vampire lord hands. (Just vampiric grip everything to you I guess. lol)

There's a drawback to having a powerful fighting form, deal with it.

But, this is offtopic.

No, I don't think the forms svck. It would be chaotic in first person. And this from someone that likes first person.

Sure, it would be /nice/ but its not realistic for cost reasons and getting it to look good.

It's not a deal-breaker for me.
