Does Lucian ever sleep?

Seriously, everytime I go to Riverwood, no matter what time of day, he is awake, open and behind that counter.

I suspect he's probably a vampire. I've never seen him leave his house.

The riverwood trader opens and shut as normal for me, I do love good old lucan though with his 11750 gold and option to buy any type of goods from you.
I wish he would stop thanking me for returning the claw though ... its gets annoying the 37th time hearing that line.

I have also seen him in the inn. He is open between 8 am and 8 pm in my game.

Yes, he does.

When? My Khajiit cat burglar character, who has broke into every house and store in Riverwood and Riften has never been able to raid the trader because he's always awake.

I do become annoyed with his constant thanking me too.

He doesn't seem to sleep in my game, ever, too. It's been like this wth many characters. Don't know what's causing it... I'm on a 100% vanilla game, zero mods.

Sounds like they either have no sleeping schedules, or it's bugged.

Basically this. Also, did you know that that NPCs are (or at one time were) supposed to change outfits when they go to sleep? Many NPCs have sleep outfits assigned to them and there is a box you can check in AI sleep packages, but it doesn't work at all, no matter what you may throw at it. And yeah, NPCs not sleeping like they should is annoying, particularly if you're playing as a vampire.

My character married Camilla, and it seems like every time he wants to sleep, Lucan and Camilla are using up all the beds. But he nevers seems to sleep when you want him to. Evil Lucan!

Lucan(correct name) has a sleep schedule. It's set where he sleeps at any day at any hour and the duration is 6 hrs. I think this setup though makes the AI decide not to sleep at all. Running the shop has priority.

i think you've added an extra 1 to his coin purse...i've never seen anyone carry more then 3000 gold even with the speech perks

I always steal the claw back for my collection...since he's awake i put a basket over his head ;)

Same for me. But, there have been times when he (and some of the other traders) open late. I've had one time when the Whiterun trader didn't open his shop for two days.

If you get to Riverwood early enough, or late enough, you can see the NPCs walking to and from the Inn - guess they're eating their breakfast/dinner there.

Lucan never sleeps due to the fact of the thieves so he stays up all day and night, that really svcks for him.

But if you get the Claw back to him, he will thank you and have a normal sleeping schedule with working the shop.

I always thought he sleeps in the inn, since I see him getting out of it every morning I come to Riverwood.
Then again, I've never actually seen him sleep there, or anywhere. Creepy...

The game has a number of insomniacs. If you do the "fishing" jobs for Delvin of the TG, it seems that they always involve one of them. Very annoying! As for Lucan, I don't know if he sleeps or not, but his shop maintains regular hours. I don't get to Riverwood as often as I like. I also have that huge investment with him.
