Does magic resistance reduce the damage you take from fire, lightning, and frost spells?

I don't know what use magic resistance would be if it didn't reduce damage from offensive spells.

They should, however my breton with magic resist enchantments still takes a huge beating from frost spike spells for some reason. I would not at all be surprised if there was a bug.

Elemental spells are still magic; it will reduce it.

It should... I mean... Is there even any NON elemental damage type magic? All I've seen are Fire, Frost and Lightning destruction spells being used by NPC mages.

Vampiric Drain spells is all I can think of.

But yes Magic resistance covers all spells.

I fought some vampires that used some kind of drain health spell. Other than that, yeah it's all elemental.

Yeah. Vampires get that spell and is effected by Destruction perk. You get that spell aswell when you become a vampire.
