Does Marvel have an equivalent to the New 52?

DC rebooted most of their comic series with the New 52. It makes it much easier to people new to comics, such as myself, to jump in because there aren't hundreds upon hundreds of back issues. Does Marvel have an equivalent, like a reboot?

Comic book superheros get rebooted on a pretty regular basis...

On Marvel's side, Iron Man and Captain America have had pretty regular reboots IIRC, and the whole http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_NOW! got recently rebooted.

Rebooting superheros is how they stay relevent to their target audience.

Yes, but are there any recent reboots to Marvel's lineup as a whole? I'd like to try some Marvel, because so far I've only read DC comics, without hundreds of issues to read. Some people say that Marvel have been better lately.

Marvel recently launched a new campaign called marvel now. It is my personal opinion that this series is going to lead to a complete reboot of the marvel multiverse. Marvel has done a few reboots over the years but each of them keep the canon of the past but just update it for the present. They have never completely rebooted their series by starting from scratch unlike DC. Currently in marvel now there is a lot of time travel going on that is breaking down the timeline/multiverse and is even causing a small crossover with another company.
