Does the enhanced dwarven crossbow do more damage then the Dragonbone Bow?

Edit: Thanks everyone so the enhanced dwarven crossbow does more damage then the dragonbone bow and it ignores 50 percent of armor nice, cant wait to get the expansion pack when it come out for the ps3.

I think so, but I can't check right now.
I know it does more than Auriel's bow, & a Daedric bow.

It's also faster to shoot, plus with the exploding bolts it's pretty impressive.

to shoot, as in you don't have to draw the arrow.

No. In terms of statistical damage it dosnt. But it ignores 50% of armor so... Yea... It's the best crossbow lol

Dwarven Crossbow does more damage than a dragonbone bow. Go look it up yourself.

Dawnguard quest line, the breton girl will give quests to upgrade your crossbow up to enhanced dwarven crossbow, and explosive bolts (as well as frost bolts and stormbolts)

not possible to get with vampire questline.

Damn! I feared as much...

All the more reason to run through it with two different characters! One for each side of the dispute. That's what I'm going to do. Currently playing the Vampire side with my level 28 Dunmer, then going to work on a Breton who will eventually run the Dawnguard side.

Fully upgraded, Enchanted, Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow with Exploding Fire Bolts along with Archery increase gear, true shot potions, and max archery skill....im sure you can 1 shot Alduin

With the right archery enchantments on your gear and the exploding bolts, crossbows become much better than regular bows

Yeah,

My enhanced dwarven legendary is 325, while I think my dragonbone legendary bow is 317?. I have fortify archery on some pieces of gear,
but did not go heavily into the archery damage perk (that first one.)

Both are also double enchanted plus 29 fire, plus 29 frost (you can't "see" this listed on the crossbow, after doing it, since the
"ignores 50 percent of armor" takes up that space.)

The main advantage is already being able to shoot with the crossbow, not worrying about it being fully drawn back and such.
Plus, exploding 14 damage dwarven bolts. Meanwhile, the bow has 25 damage dragonbone arrows.

How did you get your dragonbone bow to 317? Is your archey maxxed? My bow is at 260 right now, archery is only in the 70s though. 100 smithing, legendary, improved with a full set of improving armor and blacksmiths draught etc etc.

Strongest is the wrong word, has the most damage is correct.

The glass bow is the best archery weapon in terms of damage per second, I'm presuming that the dragonbone bow is a heavy bow.
