I currently use the DVI port for my monitor. If I just plug in another monitor to the HDMI slot will it work? The main reason I want this is for the CK I want to have the render window on one monitor while I have the Object/Cell windows on the other one. I would also like to be able to look something up online while I am playing a game or maybe even watch a youtube video while playing a game or browsing the net on the other monitor.

Technically, yes.

What do you mean "Technically"?

The HDMI port can output, but your monitor would need an HDMI port as well, which, far as i know, isn't very common. Granted i haven't bought a monitor since 2009.
