Especially when you first walk up to the guard, who will not let you in and one of your conversations choices is something like "Riverwood calls for aid!" Yeah, I think they were designing Whiterun right after LOTR 3 came out.

I imagined walking up the the big doors and throwing them open all-Aragon style.
