Does your NPC have 1 or 2 names?

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 4:00 am

Hello folks,

I'm new to the forums so go easy on me! I should be receiving Skyrim in the post tomorrow and have researched the best NPC to choose for what I want out of the game and I've come up with a Breton.

I don't know whether to give him 1 or 2 names though? Do the other Breton's and characters you meet in Skyrim have just a first name or do they have a surname as well?

(Bit of a strange thread I know, I hope someone can help though)

Many thanks :)

My Player Character has two names but I don't always do that. Her name is Evaliir Srinna and she's Breton. It's up to you...whatever you like. :)

He uses one name - most townsfolk simply refer to him as 'That b@stard'

Thanks for the gift! And my bad, I didn't realise what NPC actually meant, you can tell I'm a bit new to all of this. I dabbled with Morrowind and Oblivion but have promised myself I would definately play Skyrim for many hours a day.

Is there like a name generator I can put my real name into and get a Breton type name in return?

My 'primary' character has two names: Deven Velni. My 'Companions" orc has two names, Lugdum Gro-Shatt, and I have no idea how'd you'd classify my thieve's guild/DB argonian: Sheds-No-Tears.

As for Bretons in general: Usually a breton has a last name. Here's a useful link for you:

Plan M, I used this Elven dictionary for my Breton since there is Elven way back in her ancestry. It gives name meanings too. :)
