i wanted to know, if it is possible to make a mod that allows you to finish the civil war without doing the mainquest? i mean, it is probably needed to get pass the "unbound" quest, but is it impossible to ignore the other quests?


i would like something like a dialogue option or so to get the jarl from whiterun to ignore the dragonstuff.

? You don't need to do the main quest to finish the civil war...

EDIT: Oh, you mean you want the jarl to ignore the dragon stuff. Well, I don't know of any mods for it yet...

You only have to go as far as activating the dragons, as far as I can tell. It's likely built into the Civil War questline because Balgruff is critical to setting that up, while also capable of being removed from Whiterun. You'd have to duplicate all those quests entirely for his Stormcloak replacement in order to effectively remove it without breaking the main questline.
