EA don't have Crysis 2 available for pre-purchase yet?

I've been meaning to pre-purchase Crysis 2 for a while now, and just recently i've noticed EA's Crysis 2 page has been updated from http://www.sosnewyork.com/ to http://www.ea.com/crysis-2 And now there are pre-purchase options for Crysis 2, which I was interested in, as the prices are a bit cheaper than what i've seen everywhere else.

Though when I add it to my cart and click checkout it takes me to EA's store http://eastore.ea.com/store/eaapac/en_AU/home/ where there is nothing of Crysis 2 in sight. I then searched Crysis 2 in the store page's search bar, only Crysis and warhead showed up.

I've never actually bought anything through EA's site before, so I don't know what it's like. I do have an account though, which I was logged into at the time of trying to purchase C2.

Whats with this, does anyone know? Is it because EA don't have Crysis 2 available for purchase yet, because they haven't updated their website yet, or because Im doing something wrong?

I pre-ordered Crysis 2 on the EA Store like 5 or so months ago. I had trouble with actually paying for the pre-order through the UK store, since I'm from Estonia, but that got sorted out fairly quickly.

Oddly enough, there is no trace of the purchase on the site or EADM (no box art shows up), other than my e-mail and of course the PayPal transaction. But since the game is such a long way from release, I suppose it's not supposed to show up on the EADM. Or is it?

Maybe they screwed something up with the new page? Have you tried the pre-order button on the gamesas page? Could be any number of things.

EDIT: I just went to the PC Download pre-order page, added the game to cart and then went to checkout. Works fine for me. Are you trying to pre-order the retail version? If so, why? Get the PC download.

Hey Dj-iceman. Yeah I've been using the pre-order button on the gamesas page to get to EA's Crysis 2 page. I also tried adding the PC download of Crysis 2 to my cart (instead of PC) and going to checkout, but it takes me to the exact same page of EA's store, with nothing of Crysis 2 in sight.

But I did end up finding Crysis 2 on EA's site, I had to click on the EA icon which was on EA's white tab down the bottom left. That took me to http://www.ea.com/au/ where I typed in crysis 2 in the search box AND IT ACTUALLY SHOWED CRYSIS 2! Which took me to http://www.ea.com/au/game/crysis-2 But I can't even pre-order it there and cant add it to cart :(

All I can guess now is that the Australian EA page doesnt have Crysis 2 available to pre-purchase yet.

Any other ideas anyone? I really would like to pre-purchase soon, for PC. The reason why I dont want to get the PC download is because I'd love to have the physical copy :D

I could always just buy it from amazon if EA doesnt work out for me.

Physical copies are overrated. I avoid them. Even when I do get physical copies, I always activate them online (EADM and Steam make that quite easy, thank you very much). It's just more... Ummm... Natural, I suppose.

Anyway, I looked Crysis 2 up on the Australian EA store page (Featured game in the games nav button >:D), as it turns out this game is not available for pre-order in Australia. At all.

Yeah I purchase quite a lot of my games on Steam, I haven't actually bought a physical copy of a game in like two years lol. That's the main reason why I want to get Crysis 2 as a physical copy, because I rarely get them, and Crysis 2 would be a nice one to add to my very limited collection.

Though now when I think about it, I do like having automatic updates and patches added to my games, and because Im so used of it with Steam I'd probably be too lazy to manually update a game otherwise.

Anyways, that's unfortunate EA doesnt have Crysis 2 available for Australians yet. Thanks for confirming it Dj-iceman, its good to know that was the real issue. I guess I'll continue to wait and see the best (cheapest ;D) option to buy Crysis 2. I'm still thinking Amazon might be good, though I've never bought from there either. Anyone know if Amazon is safe and reliable? I'll leave Steam as my alternative option for now, providing it comes to steam.
