I waited until someone pissed me off. Take a couple companions on your journeys and decide on performance and domineer on the field, using this mind set I chose that mage who hangs out in the Bee and brab in Rifton, even to this day I never bothered to remember his name, he just was not important enough or just didn't impress me that much.

The first time I did this quest I took that elf from Riverwood that you do the quest for that love triangle between him, the shop keeper's sister and Sven. I had sided with him and then I married her haha.But then he kept visiting her at my Breezehome. Had to kill him.

The next character to complete that quest, I took some random mage for hire that hangs out in the Riftin tavern. He always gave me attitude when I went through there.

Well, I actually sacrificed some random orc, who agreed to travel with me, after I helped them deal with the Malacath quest.

Faendal, Uthgerd, Jenassa, Lydia, the bald mercenary from Windhelm, I usually take whoever I find the most close friend to the Dovahkiin, thats the whole idea of Boethiah sacrifice for me.

I sac'd Uthgerd as well. She made the mistake of telling the Listener "No, I don't do that kind of work." when I wanted her to attack a Hunter that we met by Haemar's Shame. I would've let the [censored] live, but after I was done watching the kill cam of my assassination of said Hunter, she decided to berate me for it.

So, despite my unswerving Faith and Loyalty to the Dread Father, Sithis; I decided the she and I needed a night visit to the "temple" to reflect on our religious values.

All she had to do was 'stand over there' to commune with her 8 (or 9 depending...) deities.

Go sacrifice Lydia. She seems to be unhappy being your housecarl anyways so end her suffering.

Whats all the Marcurio hate? He is the best mage companion in the game, J'Zargo tries to tickle things with low level spells, Marcurio just melts their faces off before they draw their weapons! I usually kill off Faendal or sven since they can't advance above level 30 anyway.

Griselda sacrificed Anneke Crag Jumper who she actually quite liked but thanks to the Ebony Blade choice was limited.
Me personally, I'd sacrifice Benor. Dumb as a bag of hammers, runs away at annoying times, even the Morthal Guards won't give him a job, and doesn't understand dragons take priority over brawls.

I don't recommend Stenvar. My evil character decided to hire a merc for that and hired him. Instead of going straight to the site, I got side tracked. During the wandering they fought a lot together. Then while heading to the temple he says something like "You've been a good friend to me, that means a lot!" I actually felt guilty and like a complete $&@!! I had to force myself to stay in character and sacrifice him. Despite being a complete evil bastige, I decided that this was the one time she had a twinge of conscious. Didn't stop her from offing him, but it will help to keep her focussed and "professional" in the future. "No more getting friendly with a mark, and business first. Adventuring second."

Lydia is a good choice as is Cosnach (the drunk you mentioned), and also Njada Stonearm. They are all annoying.

Apparently someone else in my game hates Njada. When I returned to Jorrvaskr, I saw her corpse on the floor.

I used the orc mercenary from one of the strongholds...i figure orcs were worshipping boethiah so orc is her favorite flavor
