I'll leave it at this,l have been wanting rage for quite sometime now, and when I come back a bit after the release I am seeing all of these PC problems. And I was just wondering, is rage even worth buying now with all the issues and the self fixing that you the consumer, who has been waiting for the final product, have to deal with? I know usually what im doing, but I don't like to [censored] with things for a game that just came out that shouldn't have had such problems that rage has. So furthermore, my question to you is, how long do you think will id/nvidia/ ati to make a proficient fix? I really want this game, but it's not looking like its worth all the hassle.

P.S. for all you people who want to refund rage, would you guys re buy it if these problems are fixed, or has it just ticked you off too much?

Brother, keep it productive. If you bought the game, and you have problems on the PC version (a minority of a minority of a minority), report the problem you're having in a coherent, productive manner. These guys are on it. They will fix things. Bug fixes take more than an hour. They typically take much more than a day.

If you want to rant about RAGE, dude go somehwere else. We're folks looking for soutions. If you want a solution? ARTICULATE YOUR PROBLEM. Be patient, work with the system.

But of course, I have not bought rage yet, i m just wondering if anyone can suspect how long it will take them to fix up said issues, because I don't feel like buying a game with x problems.

It can't hurt to wait a few weeks for everything to calm down and buy the game then. By that time all driver issues should be gone, and hopefully id has released a good patch.

I suppose that would be just fine, anyone can count on id, and i think a few weeks can do this game just fine.

if u got an nvidia card u wont have problems. i dont have any with an ati 5770. haters gonna hate, but the game is mainly great! they must have sold zillions of copies and only a bunch of ppl reporting problems, compaired to the sales its not that much.

While its hard to say if you'll have any issues, as others have said it may simply be worthwhile for you to wait on the sidelines. Keep up to date on whether or not patching has occurred and then drop down your $60.

Stop covering ID's pathetic work. 80% of people using ATI videocards have problems, and a quarter of those using Nvidia. All the forums about this game are flooded about people complaining of so many problems. You wait for x months, years before a game is launched, but when it gets launched, it should have the courtesy of actually working, not waiting for another few weeks for patches, and coding our own .cfg files just to partially repair the problems this game has. I've worked for more than a year as a beta tester, and most of the alpha or pre-alpha games that I've had to worked with had less problems than this one. This game is a disgrace and a mockery to all us gamers that have bought it. I used to have a lot of respect of ID Software and Bethesda, but this proved that they are more interested in getting a lot of money rather than polishing the actual product. Everybody understands a few bugs here and there, things slip the beta testing, but flickering, freezes, missing textures, crashes on so many people, nobody noticed before it was launched? Or nobody cared? Stop defending ID and Bethesda, this was a complete disregard towards the gamers, launching an pre-pre-pre-alpha on the market like this

i agree with Posedatul they should of sent copys over too ATI and nvidia too make sure the game would be set for launch with drivers ready.but hey you know they will post a we are sorry and pc gets FREE DLC reminds me of Brink

I don't know about that. Sites everywhere are commenting on the poor PC release and the rampant bugs for PC users. If you want to call PC users a minority that's fine, but to act like only a small amount of PC users are suffering problems is not at all correct.

Well first of all how do you have any idea that the PC issues are "a minority of a minority of a minority"? From the looks of things, its seems like the majority of PC gamers can't even get this game to work at all, or at least in a playable state. Just go to any main steam gaming review site, forums etc you will read about people raging not being able to get this game to work (no pun intended). Most people are mad because they bought a game that doesn't even work out of the box, which is ID's fault in the first place. How the hell did this get past their QA department?

Secondly people are mad because there has been little to no communication from ID or Bethesda about the issue. Except for a few tweets (which is completely unacceptable, there should be a formal news post about the issue and there isn't.)

Finally the community shouldn't have to do ID's job for them. There should have been a patch already fixing these issues or at least some communication from ID or Bethesda about what they are working on or what they intend to do.

To be fair, the only people who go to the Steam forums to post a lot when they just got the game are the ones who are having issues. You don't know how many people are happily playing the game without posting complaints anywhere.

To be even more fair I'm sure a lot of people who have problems come to these forums and look at other gaming sites to see the posts and articles that have reported glitches and then realize that posting their problems is futile because so many people have already posted the same complaints.

I'm not trying to hate on Rage, the amount of the game I've played so far is so awesome. However there are bugs in the PC version. Bugs that make it unplayable at certain points. It's not just the little graphic glitches here and there, it's game breaking bugs that plenty of people are experiencing. I love iD, hell I'm 27 and I've played iD games my entire life. I also love Bethesda, but there are bugs in this game and a lot of PC users are feeling it.

I think it's clear that it's much more than a minority.
I haven't seen this many issues with a game in over an FN a decade and a half when we used to have to tell our dial up modems how to connect to a BBS to play DooM.

This is complete BS, and I was a total supporter of id and Rage.

ya well i want to play this game so bad that im getting a new computer this week end, havent upgrade mine since 2007 cuz i didnt need to. now i do! SO....

im a ID fan boy.
