So, I finally got around to buying the BFG edition due to the Steam summer sale. The main reason I bough it? NOSTALGIA.

I don't care about the MP aspect of them. I want to load up on cheats and go crazy like in my youth. Although I never did finish Doom 3 (it scares me).

It's been so long since I've played - the only cheat I remember (from Doom 1 & 2) is IDKFA (gives you all weapons, full ammo and armor, and all three keycards for the level).

I'm playing Doom 1 right now and I'm disappointed to find out that they do not work. I managed to the console to work but the cheats do not. That's part of what made Doom, Doom and not having the cheats at least IMO ruins the experience.

IIRC, you had to set a command line parameter to enable cheat mode when you launched the game.
