What do you think "doom driven" means? Both Tsun and Paarthurnax call you this, once they truly realize you're dovahkiin.
Spoiler
First, when Paarth sees that you managed to find an Elder Scroll. Second, when Tsun sees you're resolved to fight Alduin.
I know Lorkhan/Shor is also called the "Doom Drum". Do you think there's any assocation with this?
'Doom' can also refer to what someone's fate/destiny has in store for them and drives them inexorably towards- in this case, an inevitable, predestined fate to battle and defeat evil, since you are the dragonborn of prophecy.
I though I was the only one that thought of the Doom Drum when Tsun called me doom-driven.
I'm not sure. Could be accidental. Could be profound. You never know with TES.
Heh yeah, cool to see I'm not alone. I could be reading into it, but it almost seems like a "title" rather than something merely indicating what we were going to do. Like Paarthurnax expresses awe in a way. "You truly are the doom driven.." or something like that.
Or maybe that's just his way of saying "You're [censored] crazy.."

Spoiler
It is Alduin's destiny to eat the world though, only his timing was off. So the fact that you are the Dragonborn symbolizes that real doom for the world is indeed near. So you defeating Alduin only hastens the end of the world and its doom. So I think doom driven can be perceived in many different ways.
I suppose yet another, simpler, perspective is that Doom-Driven simply means that the end of the world is coming near, and this very factor is what urges the Dragonborn onwards. No more complex than that.

One reason I like the Blades is that to Esbern, the Dragonborn represents hope, not the end.
