Doom and Doom II on BFG edition is censored! I hate censorship! ID sofware collection from steam is gone! What's wrong with you guys? Fans of Doom, do not buy the Doom 3 BFG Edtion! It's censored because of Germany! id Software screwed us over!

Yup. Everybody knows.
But it's not because of Germany. It was id's/gamesas's decision to save money by sparing respective versions.
Swastikas were always problematic in Germany. Yet the pc versions of Doom1/2 where released uncensored in the 90s in the US.
Germans are also pissed at this development as we can't import uncensored versions anymore.
Think about it...

Yea, we know about it, we were raging/discussing this stuff over a week ago. You're better off getting standalone versions off Steam.

If you have to go so low as to censor your own, multi million selling game then I think it's time to call it a day...

Long live the original versions.

On the PC you can still patch the game to unsensor the game. Its not something you have to live with if it's that much of a problem for you.
