Just got the game back home, it's 12:47 AM my local time, inserted disk, hit install, and it launched Steam. Now it's says "updating The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim" along with a 4+ hour approximation for download. It seems as if it's trying to download the game. But I have the game on disk. Any help please?

same thing here man, except i dont even get an estimate on time. DLing at 220 kbs and probably gonna take all night at that speed. I dont understand the f###ing point of giving us a disk if we are just going to have to DL the D### game!

Welcome to the world of the half A$$ed PC release. Apparently having the original disk and a legit key still isn't enough. I'm sick of console gamers getting better versions of everything these days. I mean the company didn't even test 24 bit sound. What an absolute joke!

Shouldn't need a FIX to a brand new game before it's even installed. /rage

It's not the fault of the game, it's a steam bug that's been there always I think.
