Dragon Armor vs Daedric Armor

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 9:59 pm

Which are do you think will be the most powerful? Daedric has always been the best (standard) armor in the previous games. Do you think it will keep that title, or will Dragon Armor surpass it? Or perhaps they will be equally powerful?

I would personally still like the daedric armor being the most powerful, but maybe Bethesda are thinking differently?

What are your thoughts on this? :)

Same I'd prefer Daedric armor to be the most powerful armor in the game but I expect dragon armor being stronger, oh well they're both really great looking armors.

Dragon is going to be the most powerful. The way they've hyped up dragons, also take a look at the smithing perks if you haven't already. That gives an idea of what's more or less powerful armor wise.

Well with the Oblivion Gates closed forever and its very difficult to make weapons out of daedric ruins i'd imagine that daedric armor and weapons will be very rare. Still, its not like you can find dragonbone everywhere you go..

It all depends on how Beth returns daedric armor. In morrowind, it was very difficult to find and there were only two complete sets in set locations in the entire game hidden away where you'd be lucky to find one or two. In Oblivion, get to level 30 and bandits are wearing them. Since you can craft Dragonbone armor, if they take the Morrowind route, id assume that Daedric Armor will remain the strongest. Otherwise, if you find it everywhere you go, i'd guese dragonbone will be superior.

My guess is that dragon armor will be a weird medium type armor where it'll use which ever skill is higher out of light or heavy that you currently have.

Hopefully there are light dragon armours. That's all I want (besides them looking good.)

it depends on your definition of "the best." for thieves and scouts and bowmen, glass was best. you can run faster, jump higher and carry more loot or other necessities.

Srsly. Considering Daedric is enhanced Ebony in the first place, it makes no sense for it to be weaker than what it enhances.

If i remember correct The Dragonbone curiass in morrowind was more powerful than a daedric curiass. Idk if this has any relevance.

Yo dawg..

Joking aside - They'll probably be equal.

Dragon Armor seems to be the penultimate craftable set.

And Daedric will likely follow the previous games and be the penultimate lootable set.

Two ways to attain the goodies. Two choices, roughly the same stats. (Though I think Dragon Armor pieces will likely be innately enchanted.)

Just wondering... is there a possibility that you extract dragon bones, for smithing, from the corpses of dragons? That would solve the problem of everlasting sceletons.

if you can craft dragon bone armor then how else would you get the bones?

Just saw lots of worrying about dragon-skeletons in the middle of cities blocking passages and so on. Seems reasonable they dissappear after you extract the bones.

Well, Dragon Bone should be more powerfull because it contains the power of the dragons directly, whereas Daedric Armor is just Ebony infused with some Daedric Minion blood. Ebony Armor and Daedric Armor are most likely on the same level, as all the perktress that we have seen contain two branches, ebony is in one branch, daedric in the other, while Dragonbone is the top perk.

If you're talking about the smithing perk tree, one branch is for light armor and the other is for heavy armor. Both branches have one common perk at the top which is dragon armor (that can be both light and heavy)

Yeah, Deadric Armor i believe is going to be very rare since the Gates of Oblivion have closed but i don't think Deadric armor will be the most defensive armor, maybe the 2nd to most defensive though. I personally think that the Dragon Armor is going to be the most defensive just for the fact that you are going to have to kill each individual Dragon in order to gain their bones and will then have to craft the bones in order to make the armor. Besides Dragons are most likely the most powerful creatures in Skyrim so their bones will probably come with abilites (for your amor once it is crafted) that can help you Resist Fire, Frost, Shock, etc. But this is just me stateing my thoughts and opinion :D

Not really, because glass armor is the equivalent to ebony yet in oblivion glass was also the equivalent to daedric

It has been confirmed that Dragon Armour can be either heavy or light.
Also, I have heard rumors that Dragon Armour will enhance shouts... :unsure2:
